For integrated Hold Baggage Screening, especially with the new standard 3 machines, it makes sense to form clusters of screening machines for optimised capacity balancing, economy of scale and redundancy. The necessary sorters around these screening clusters must be best in class. They must have features, known from the BAXORTER, but not achievable with current high capacity sorters: ultimate baggage tracking and controlled baggage orientation.
The TRAXORTER, built on the same frame and using the same controls as the HELIXORTER, offers these unique features. The TRAXORTER works in a completely horizontal plane and uses an electrically activated sliding bar to offer the best possible, positive discharge. By identifying the position of a bag on its tray, the divert action is individually controlled to ensure more precise sorting to the right destination. Besides this, the sturdy bamboo, crescent shaped deck that is completely closed ensures excellent conveyability during induction, transport and discharge.
Non-aligned baggage results in a capacity drop of over 10% in screening machines and can cause jams. With the unique sliding bar of the TRAXORTER, the discharge orientation of baggage can be fully controlled.
